Financial Provision


As a result of the Vanbandhu initiative, the financial allocation under TSP increased from Rs. 5,640 Crore under the Tenth Five Year Plan (2002-07) to Rs. 15,000 Crore in the Eleventh Plan (2007-12), the expenditure against which was Rs. 17,200 crore. Buoyed by this, the State Government has allotted an ambitious Rs. 40,000 crore in the Twelfth Five Year Plan (2012-17).

Over the last three years (2011-12 to 2015-16), the total financial allocation was of Rs. 35116.26 Crore while expenditure of Rs. 32601.22 Crore was incurred, which is 92.84% of the total revised allocation.

Financial Allocation and Expenditure for last three years

Financial allocation for 2014-15 was Rs. 8680.36 Crore of which Rs. 7536.07 Crore was expended for tribal development related activities. Financial provision for TSP for the year 2015-16 including TSP state flow, Gujarat Pattern and Nucleus Budget was to the tune of Rs. 8841.96 crore and TSP revised outlay was to the tune of Rs. 8379.08 crore.

Allocation and Expenditure

The financial allocation for the year 2015-16 was increased by 5.95 % to Rs. 10267.67 Crore.

The perspective for tribal development with respect to its strategy, approach and objectives, laid down by the State Government, in the Annual Development Programme for Tribal Sub Plan, broadly conforms to the policy for TSP by Government of India within the framework of the General State Plan.
