To facilitate students who are studying in secondary, higher secondary and college the government is operating hostels for Schedule Tribe students

Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari, Dang, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar, Ahamedabad, Anand, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Chhotaudepur, Morabi, Kutch-Bhuj.
INTENDED BENEFICIARIES |
Students who are studying in standard 8 to 12 and college.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA |
Schedule Tribe boys whose parent’s annual income is up to Rs. 2.50 lakh. No income criteria for Schedule Tribe girls. Also, the students scoring 50% or higher marks shall get admission on basis of merit.
BENEFITS UNDER THE SCHEME |
Free lodging and boarding facilities.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS |
165 government hostels are running, and providing lodging and boarding facilities to about 16,840 students.
