  • OVERVIEW | ST population has lower literacy level in comparison with other sections of the society. Due to absence of higher secondary schools in tribal areas, students drop out of studies after pursuing primary education.

  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA | The annual income of the family should be up to Rs.11,000.
  • BENEFITS UNDER THE SCHEME | The hostels receive Rs.1000 per month for 10 months.
  • KEY ACHIEVEMENTS | There are as many as 897 GIA Hostels across 15 Districts of Gujarat with a capacity of 46,236 seats
