High Level Committee

A High Level Committee under the Chairpersonship of Hon'ble Chief Minister reviews the implementation of the Act. The Finance Minister, Revenue Minister, Social Justice and Empowerment (Tribal Development Department) Minister, Member of Parliament and State Legislature, and senior government officers are members of the Committee.

State Level Committee

A State Level Committee under the Chairpersonship of the Secretary in charge of Social Justice and Empowerment (Tribal Development Department) reviews the reports of the 13 Vigilance Officers and 2 Social Welfare Officers. Commissioner, Tribal Development, Gandhinagar ensures that the Committee meets regularly on a quarterly basis.

District Vigilance Committee

A District Vigilance Committee under the Chairpersonship of District Collector reviews the implementation of the Act. The Committee consists of District Panchayat President, Chairman of District Social Committee, District Development Officers, District Superintendent of Police, Government Public Prosecutor, Member of Parliament, Member of Legislative Assembly and prominent social workers. Such Committees have been formed in all 26 districts of the State and they convene meetings on a quarterly basis.

Taluka Level Committee

Taluka Level Committees have been set up in 45 talukas. Its chairperson is the Taluka Mamlatdar, and members include Public Prosecutor, Police Inspector, and Sub-inspector of the taluka.

City Level Committee

Rural Vigilance Committees have been formed in cities like Vadodara and Surat where there is a significant tribal population. The City Police Commissioner is the chairperson and the Vigilance Officer, Tribal Development is the Member Secretary of the Committee. Members of NGOs are appointed in the committee in consultation with the minister who is in charge of the district.
