As a result of the Vanbandhu initiative, the financial allocation under TSP increased from Rs. 5,640 Crore under the Tenth Five Year Plan (2002-07) to Rs. 15,000 Crore in the Eleventh Plan (2007-12), the expenditure against which was Rs. 17,200 crores. Buoyed by this, the State Government has allotted an ambitious Rs. 40,000 crore in the Twelfth Five Year Plan (2012-17).
Over the last five years (2017-18 to 2021-22), the total financial allocation was Rs.68974.07 Crore while expenditure of Rs. 59689.31 Crore was incurred, which is 91.07% of the total revised allocation.
 
FINANCIAL ALLOCATION AND EXPENDITURE FOR LAST THREE YEARS
 
The financial allocation for the year 2020-21 was of Rs. 14106.42 crore, of which Rs. 11120.53 crore was expended for tribal development-related activities. Financial provision for TSP for the year 2021-22 including TSP state flow, Gujarat Pattern and Nucleus Budget is Rs. 14463.08 crore of which Rs. 12959.21 crore was expended for tribal development-related activities. Financial provision for TSP for the year 2022-23 including TSP state flow, Gujarat Pattern and Nucleus Budget is Rs. 14638.29 crores.
 
ALLOCATION AND EXPENDITURE
The perspective for tribal development with respect to its strategy, approach, and objectives laid down by the State Government, in the Annual Development Programme for Tribal Sub Plan, broadly conforms to the policy for TSP by the Government of India within the framework of the General State Plan.
