The office of the Commissioner of Tribal Development facilitates the implementation of various programmes under Tribal Sub-Plan. The Deputy Tribal Development Commissioner looks after the development of the Primitive Tribal Groups amongst Scheduled Tribes and assists the Tribal Development Commissioner in the administration and coordination of development activities.

Gujarat State Tribal Development Residential Educational Institutions Society (GSTDREIS) or EMRS Society came into existence on 3rd January' 2000 as an autonomous society by Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat for establishing, maintaining, controlling and managing good quality schools for talented and meritorious ST students.

Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG)


DSAG

The Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG) has been set up by the State Government as an autonomous body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 with the Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat as the Chairman. D-SAG is primarily concerned with the successful implementation of the Chief Ministers Ten Point Programme (Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana) in the mission-mode.

Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation - GTDC


GTDC

GTDC was formed in October 1972. Its main objective is to undertake all the programs that are related to development of socio-economic status of the Schedule Tribe population in Gujarat. Along with this, GTDC is to also to promote dairy development program, agriculture development program, marketing of farm produce and storage, small scale industries, construction of houses, and any other economic project for the welfare of the tribal population.

Gujarat Tribal Research & Training Society

Tribal Research & Training Institute, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad was established in 1962. The Institute undertakes research and evaluation studies on various economic development programmes meant for tribals including ethnic and cultural aspects in the State.

Gujarat landless labourers & Halpati Housing Board


Gujarat Landless Labourers & Halpati Housing Board is incorporated vide Resolution No.MKN-1082-365-j-1 dated 20/01/1983 of Panchayat, Housing & Urban Development Department under Society Registration Act-1860. Board provides Subsidy fixed by the Government to the beneficiaries for the construction of Halpati Houses in the districts of Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Navsari, Bharuch, Narmada, Vadodara & Chhotaudepur of South Gujarat.
